Ekkos Apparel is a clothing company dedicated to cultivating adventure with handmade, one-of-a-kind products. Started in August of 2015 by Athens local, Rachel Ehlinger, Ekkos is now sustained by mentors from around the country and ambassadors from around the world. Fabric is sourced directly from Africa and products are handmade in Athens, GA by local seamstresses. 100% of the company’s profits are used to provide education for orphans in Kasoa, Ghana. At only $200, Ekkos can send a child to school for an entire year. To view the children’s stories and the apparel collections, visit ekkos.org
We love seeing this small business doing big things to incite positive change in the world and wanted to recognize this student entrepreneur’s #pressready and #pressworthy organization.
