On the whole, most national magazines are housed under one of five major publishers and each have established their own company-wide email system. So if you know the name of the editor of the you’re looking for (found on the page you want to pitch or on the editorial masthead in the front of the magazine) and you know which company publishes the magazine (found on the publishers masthead in the front of the magazine) then you can plug in their name to the email formula, below, to contact the editor.

Meredith        Amy.flurry@meredith.com

Hearst              Aflurry@hearst.com

Time Inc.        Amy_flurry @timeinc.com

Conde Nast    Amy_flurry@condenast.com

Rodale           Amy.flurry@rodale.com
